A 46" desk shelf in solid red oak. Wedged through-tenons lock the top to the ends, and a half-blind dovetailed drawer sits between two open bays.

About this plan
The ends tenon up through the top and are locked with walnut wedges, so the joinery you see on the top is the joinery holding it together. The shelf floats 3/8" off the desk on two feet at each end, and the drawer is half-blind dovetailed with a plywood bottom.
The set has seven drawing sheets with every dimension, two full-size section views of the joints, a cut list, a shopping list, a build sequence, and three pages of full-size templates you print and trace.

Shopping list
- Red oak 1x10 (3/4" x 9-1/4" actual) x 6 ft for the top, end panels and dividers
- Red oak 1x10 x 4 ft for the shelf
- Red oak 1x4 x 2 ft for the drawer front and stop
- Red oak 1/2" x 3-1/2" x 3 ft, or resaw, for the drawer sides and back
- 1/4" oak plywood, 2 x 2 ft, for the drawer bottom
- Walnut scrap, about 1" x 2-1/2" x 6", for the wedges
